Rockaways' Playland was an amusement park on Beach 98th Street in Rockaway Beach, open from 1902 to 1985. It got sized down significantly thanks to one of Robert Moses' massive parkway projects; in this instance, the construction of Shore Front Parkway in the late 30s. The park has since been torn down and replaced by a housing development.
